Deborah Gordon

Affiliate of Stanford University's Center for International Security and Cooperation, with forty-plus years of experience in algorithm design, signal processing, and network design and security.

Deborah C. Gordon is a Senior Advisor for Longview Fusion Energy Systems and several other high-technology companies, advising on bridging the gap in communications among scientific, industrial, and government institutions. Ms. Gordon is an Affiliate at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University and served for 22 years as Executive Director of the Stanford-Harvard Preventive Defense Project, co-directed by DoD Secretaries William Perry and Ashton Carter. In this role, she participated in high-level interactions with political and military leaders around the world, promoting highly informed, non-governmental dialogues known as track-two diplomacy.

Ms. Gordon serves on the Boards of Directors of the Council on Strategic Risks, the Arms Control Association, and Probability Management, and is the founder and director emerita of Technology for Global Security. She is the former Mayor of Woodside, CA; Chair and Director of the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County; and Chair of many California State policy advisory bodies, including energy and water policy. She has over 40 years of experience in algorithm design, signal processing, network design, and network security, and holds several U.S. and Canadian patents.
