Commercial fusion is here
We have ignition
Learn more about Laser-driven inertial fusion with energy gain and Longview’s partnership agreement with the NIF > here
Fusion is the process that powers the stars, now within reach on Earth. It uses hydrogen from water as fuel—virtually unlimited and globally abundant. Fusion is sustainable and renewable because it generates its own fuel.
Longview Fusion produces energy without greenhouse gases, long-lived radioactive waste, or geopolitical fuel dependencies. Unlike traditional renewables, fusion is available, reliable, dispatchable, and scalable.
In 2022, the National Ignition Facility (NIF) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory achieved fusion performance with gain–a fusion reaction that produced more energy than was used to initiate it –for the first time ever, anywhere.
Since then the NIF has almost doubled its gain performance and expects continuing gain increases.
Longview is leveraging this breakthrough, laser-driven fusion technology to be first-to-market with commercial fusion energy.

The Longview Difference
Faster
No breakthroughs necessary.
By leveraging proven, laser-driven fusion technology, conventional construction materials, and key partnerships with leading American semiconductor, optic, material, power and commodity producers, Longview is positioned to scale at speed.
Smaller
Small is huge.
Smaller power plant footprints and fuel inventories make for safer operation and implementation in communities and industrial processes of all types and sizes.
First
It’s not a competition, but it is a race.
Our future depends on a clean, dispatchable, safe and reliable energy source. That’s why Longview is innovating for immediacy - combining proven technology with scalable design to pull the frontier of fusion forward, first.
